Topic: STM32 Chip Select

Hi,
This is my first post on this forum and hope that I will receive convincing response.
I am in process of developing a hardware module consisting of various peripherals being controlled by the STM32F103ZE Cortex-M3 micro-controller. Is it possible to use decoder IC's like 74LS138 or 74LS154 to generate the chip select for the various peripherals instead of using FSMC. Most significant Address bits of STM32F103ZE will be used to access the decoder IC.
The RD and WR signals will be generated using any of GPIO pins. I am using RIDE
RLink Debugger Programmer with latest version of RIDE 7.

Bye,

Nommy.

Re: STM32 Chip Select

would like to know if it's possible to use decode for ranges of numbers, ie 1-10 = 'category 1', 11-20 = 'category 2', rather than having to individually decode each number.

Re: STM32 Chip Select

Hi,

We support our development tools, but have limited knowledge about the internals of the devices, and even less about their peripherals.

We suggest that you contact the ST support team for more help on this issue.
